Lake and River Fish Biologist, Coeur d’Alene Tribe

The Coeur d’Alene Tribe’s Fish and Wildlife Program (Program) is seeking applicants for a permanent, full-time Fisheries Biologist to direct the implementation of management, research, and monitoring actions that support the recovery and conservation of native salmonids of cultural importance in the Coeur d’Alene Basin. This position will be responsible for developing a better understanding of how processes and mechanisms in Coeur d’Alene Lake and its associated river systems affect native populations of ad fluvial west slope cutthroat trout and bull trout through the implementation of short-term research studies and long-term monitoring strategies. In collaboration with regional partners, the incumbent will also be responsible for overseeing management actions in Coeur d’Alene Lake and its associated river systems, informed by the research and monitoring efforts, that have been implemented to aid the recovery of native salmonid species.
